Holiday Shopping Guide for the Whole Family

If you’re looking for something to buy but can’t find something for your family or any other people, you need this shopping guide. So, the plan was that I asked my family (my sister, dad, and mom) to come up with 4-6 things that they already own, and they love. Then, they would write a 2-4 sentence description on why they love each product. Finally, my mom will make a really cool graphic with all the pictures of the itmes we listed. I really felt like helping other people that are trying to find the right thing to buy (because I feel like being a nice person). Oh, by the way, I am NOT the average 12-yr-old boy (they don’t want yarn and makeup), but everyone else is regular.  I really feel like this is my best post yet, and I would really appreciate it if you shared on social media and pinned on Pinterest!  After almost a month of writing and editing this, it’s finally here for you to read!

Me (12 yr-old boy)

Apple Pencil ($99)

I love the Apple Pencil so much because it’s perfect for on the go sketching, when you don’t want to bring a ton of art supplies along. I wrote a whole review on this, so you can read it here. This product it definitely a must have for your iPad Pro.

iPad Pro 10.5 Inch 64 Gig ($650)

If you want something to just bring a device around anywhere, this is the perfect product to buy. Along with the Apple Pencil and the Keyboard, this is a powerhouse of a tablet. I can blog, draw, and surf the web anywhere I am. You definitely need it.

iPad Pro 10.5 Inch Keyboard ($169)

If you are planning to use your iPad Pro as a laptop, this is the perfect accessory. The slim, modern look compliments your iPad very nicely. I already wrote a review on this, so you can read it here.

Milk Makeup Cooling Water ($24)

I am completely obsessed with the Milk Makeup Cooling Water. It instantly moisturizes your face and de-puffs your eye bags. It is a must-have to keep your face soft and amazing!

Herschel Supply Co. Harrison Backpack ($84.99)

This is my everyday school backpack that I store my books and binder in. I love how all of the colors of backpacks are the same as the colors for the wallets, hats, zippered pouches, etc. It really gives you the option to have your belonging match, and have them all the same color scheme. Although this backpack is pretty expensive, it’s completely worth it because of the lifetime warranty, luxurious laptop sleeve, and the modern look.

Carlton Merino Supreme Yarn ($9.25)

This soft, warm yarn is perfect for crocheting or knitting hats, scarfs, boot cuffs, ear warmers, etc. This is my go-to yarn for making anything that needs to be yarn. Especially because it’s merino wool yarn, it’s super cuddly I just can’t express my love for this yarn. It’s cool that it’s inexpensive, unlike any other wool yarn that’s so much more expensive.

Gracie (15 yr-old girl)

Milk Makeup Matte Bronzer ($24)

I love all of Milk Makeup’s products, but one of my favorite things is the Matte Bronzer. Milk Makeup is known for being quick, easy to apply, and made for people on the go. The Matte Bronzer is a cream bronzer stick, giving you a natural look in just one swipe. I like to blend it with my fingers, but you can also use a brush or a beauty blender.

Pura Vida Bracelets Originals ($5+)

Pura Vida means “pure life” and is a company based in Costa Rica. They help provide jobs for local artisans in Costa Rica, and pair up with other charities. I have over 60 bracelets from them, but my favorite kind are the Original bracelets. These simple string bracelets come in so many different colors, and go with any outfit. These also make great stocking stuffers.

Milk and Honey by Rupi Kaur ($6.74)

Milk and Honey is one of my favorite books of all time. It is a collection of poems highlighting important topics like violence, abuse, love, loss, and femininity. Definitely a must read.

Fujifilm Instax Camera ($59.99)

This camera is an alternative to modern day photography methods, as it uses instant film. I like it because it captures a single photo right in the moment, and can be fun at a party, an event, or anywhere you desire. The cameras all have adjustable light settings, and come in lots of colors.

Mom

Clippa Bag Hanger ($14.99)

I use this to hang my bag from a table at a restaurant, the cup holder at the movie theater, or a fence on the softball field. It is spring-loaded and has rubber pads so it won’t scratch surfaces. Unlike traditional “purse hooks” that require the flat surface of a table, the Clippa is so much more versatile. Since it holds up to 33 pounds, it can even support my camera bag.

Rubbermaid Reveal Mop ($44.99)

Is it possible to actually love a mop? Maybe not but I really like how I can use my own cleaning solution, and then just throw the microfiber pad into the wash. The Rubbermaid mop makes the task of mopping tolerable, and that is good enough for me!

Takeya Tea Maker ($24.99)

I love tea! I love it hot, love it cold. I could drink it all day.  This pitcher is amazing because I can cold-brew all of my favorite loose teas right in the refrigerator. The infuser has a fine mesh so that no leaves escape into the tea. It’s brilliant!

Steel Pearl Earrings ($??)

These earrings look sort of like black pearl studs but they are actually steel. I got them at Whimsey in Bellingham but their website doesn’t have them in the online store. Local friends, go check them out!

Color Street Nails ($13)

What is Color Street? You may have heard of Jamberry, which are pretty cool and funky nail wraps. I have a bunch of Jamberry but found them difficult to apply since they are thick, must be trimmed, and require heat to apply. Color Street strips remind me of Jamberry but they are made of actual nail polish. No trimming, no heating, just fit them onto your nails and use an orange stick to break off the excess length. They are easy to apply and last about 10 days. I’m hooked!

Dad

Kobalt 18-Piece Multi-Bit Screwdriver ($4.98)

This is the best and most versatile screwdriver that I have. It makes putting screws in and out extremely quick and works on really small stuff too.

Bosch 2.25-HP Variable Speed Router ($189)

This router has a really strong motor in really smooth movement in all the adjustments. It’s variable speed so you can use a wide range of bits.

Streamlight Protac 2L Flashlight ($43.82)

This flashlight is really compact and really bright. It’s LED so the batteries last a really long time too.

LLBean Trail Model Fleece-Lined Raincoat ($89-$99)

I wear this raincoat all the time. It’s waterproof, warm, really comfortable, and has a lot of pockets.

Prana Stretch Zion Pants ($85)

These pants are so comfortable and actually sit at my waist. I love that they dry really fast too. Buy them on sale!

Alright guys!  I really hoped you enjoyed and found it helpful!  If you did, please share on social media and pin on Pinterest!  More posts to come!
