My Absolute FAVORITE Yarn and Crochet Hook!

Hi guys!  Sorry for not posting in a while!  Anyway, I’m here to share with you my favorite yarn and crochet hook.  Recently, for the first time I visited this one fancy yarn store in Bellingham called Northwest Yarns.  NW Yarns has the best yarn (such as British Blue Wool)!  It has now became one of my favorite stores.  Anyway, here’s my favorite yarn and crochet hook!

British Blue Wool

Made in Britain, this artisan wool yarn is the perfect size for on-the-go crocheting or knitting!  It comes in an adorable tiny ball of yarn that can fit in the palm of your hand.  And, because it’s wool, this yarn is perfect for making garments, such as hats and scarfs.  At the low price of $6.50, you’ve got to get this yarn!

Clover Takumi Bamboo Crochet Hook

I got this crochet hook when I had just started crocheting, and it’s been one of the only crochet hooks I use.  I love it so much because it doesn’t get slippery, like metal hooks, it doesn’t have that cheap feel to it, like plastic hooks, and it’s super light, because it’s bamboo!  Also, if you’re like me, and like to have your loops far down on your crochet hook, this hook is perfect for you because it doesn’t have a big chunky handle on it.  This crochet hook works with so many yarns, you’ve just got to get it!

I hope you found this post helpful!  More posts to come.  As always, Happy Crocheting!

P.S. Sorry about my ugly hand.  I’m a blogger, not a hand model.

  1. Henry, have you found Ravelry yet? It’s a social media site for knitters and crocheters, and you can get all kinds of patterns, share your work and your blog, review yarns and hooks… I love Ravelry! Thanks for the review on the yarn, I’ll have to check it out!

  2. Hi Henry!

Great blog you have here. We loved having you come by for our Men’s Craft Night the other day. That British Blue Wool is some really great stuff. Gotta love a breed-specific yarn!

Thanks for the shout-out! Keep on crafting. 🙂
